This policy explains what NexURLs (run by Qubi Labs LLC) collects, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, display name, email address and password (stored scrambled), plus anything you add to your profile.
- What you do on NexURLs: the URLs you share, likes, saves, follows, comments, collections, reports, Daily 5 progress, streaks, badges and NexCredits.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, which URLs you were shown and clicked, your IP address, browser and device type. We use this to run the site, count views, stop abuse and improve recommendations.
- Your topic choices: the topics you pick so Next can lean toward them. Visitors without an account keep these in their own browser.
- Push notifications: if you allow them, a notification ID from our push provider so we can reach your device.
- Site verification: if you verify a site, the domain and that you control it.
Cookies and browser storage
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site work, and browser storage to remember things like the URLs you have already seen this session and your topic choices. These are not used for advertising.
Who we share it with
We use trusted services to run NexURLs, and they only get what they need to do their job:
- our web host, which stores the site and its database;
- a cloud storage and delivery service for images and media files;
- an email delivery service for account, notification and summary emails;
- a push notification service for notifications you opt into;
- when enabled, Google Safe Browsing, which receives submitted links (not who submitted them) to check them for malware and scams.
We also share information if the law requires it, or to protect people and the site from harm. What you post publicly (shared URLs, comments, collections, your display name and badges) can be seen by anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account we remove your personal information, except where we must keep some for legal, security or fraud prevention reasons. Public posts may be removed or made anonymous.
Your choices
- Change your topics any time from the Explore page.
- Turn off weekly summaries from your dashboard or the link in the email, and adjust community notifications in your notification settings.
- Turn off push notifications in your browser or device settings.
- Ask for a copy of your information, a correction, or deletion of your account by contacting us.
Children
NexURLs is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use encrypted connections, scrambled passwords and limited access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
We may update this policy and will note the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on the site or by email.
