What unslop does

unslop is a Claude Code and Codex skill that identifies "slop" in vibecoded, AI-looking interfaces - things like purple gradients, glows, emoji labels, shouty copy and uneven spacing - then proposes and applies design fixes pass by pass.

It audits a screen, proposes a design direction based on your product, and edits spacing, color, icons, copy, type, layout, details, visuals and motion in that order.

How you actually use it

For Claude Code, copy the skill into your skills folder or into .claude/skills/ for a single project; in Codex you can ask it to install straight from this repository or place it in ~/.agents/skills/ or .agents/skills/ inside a project.

In Claude Code invoke it with /unslop and in Codex use $unslop, or describe what you want in your own words and the agent will pick the skill up. To snapshot a live site or create a short story video you need Playwright and Chromium installed, and story videos also require ffmpeg.

When and who should use unslop

It works with screens built in Next.js, React, Vue, Svelte, Tailwind or plain HTML and CSS, on dashboards, apps and landing pages, and can run against a live site when you only have a link.

Useful for developers or teams who want an automated designer-like pass to clean up AI-styled UI, or for people who want a quick audit that lists every sign of slop and a proposed direction before edits begin.

Visuals, generators and licensing

When a hero needs a scene or object, unslop can generate an image through services like fal, Replicate, OpenAI images or Higgsfield, and if none is connected it can offer to connect one as an MCP server while showing the prompt and asking before any paid generation.

The project is published under CC BY 4.0, so you can use, change and share it (including commercially) as long as you credit Damir Sokolovsky (@heydamir) and link back to the repository.
